Don’t Hide! Baldness is in Vogue
Thousands of women as well as men who suffer from baldness feel humiliated by it and suffer from other associated physiological conditions including self-worthlessness and depression. Baldness or hair loss also increases the stress levels in these individuals.
Men often feel like they have suffered a loss of masculinity when they get bald. Others feel a reduced sense of security as it serves as a constant reminder that they are indeed growing older. Most men who are bald suffer from acute lack of confidence when going about in public. They also often feel that perhaps their wives would not be attracted to them any more. They are very conscious of their baldness and suspect that their baldness is the first thing that other people notice about them. For women too, hair loss and impending baldness is severely disturbing and could turn out to be the one of the most stressful phases of their lives.
Baldness is often considered a major hindrance in many fields, especially in workplaces where appearances count including those of lawyers, accountants and salesmen. Take a look around you and you will find that most people who are successful in these fields and other related careers are not bald. The common perception of a successful executive is someone who has hair, so, very often bald men find it very difficult to reach the top rung of the ladder if they are pursuing these kinds of careers. It is of course a completely different story if the person in question turned bald after having reached a certain stage in his career.
